Job Description It is the primary responsibility of the Grill Cook/Grill Chef is to: - prepare food items according to the menu; recipe standards and customer request while ensuring preparation and service are of the highest possible quality in a timely manner. - Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Start prep work on items needed for the menu. - Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide. - All requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area. - Complete opening duties such as setting up the workstation with a required place, tools, equipment, and supplies; inspecting the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies; checking production schedule and pars; establishing priority items for the day. - Maintain a working knowledge of menu items,recipes, and all food products and help the operation manager to develop new items. - Utilize proper food handling techniques following Health and Safety Standards. - Maintain proper stocking of assigned station and know the mise- en- place. - Maintain the ability to work in public on live stations and maintain proper appearance standards. Train other staff for preparing steak, chicken. Required: - At least 1 year of high volume cooking/fast serve experience. - Ability to cook omelets with no browning. - Ability to prepare and cook Philly cheesesteaks and chicken sandwiches to order and to the correct temperature. - Ability to work under pressure and still produce all dishes according to standard. - Working knowledge of kitchen equipment, and good knife skills. - Extensive overall knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation and presentation. - Must possess a full knife set and advanced knife skills (cut, dice, mince, and slice).info@chimneysrollhouse.com - Work without direct supervision. - Excellent customer skills. - Professional appearance and demeanor. - Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. - Able to effectively communicate in English, in both in written and oral form. - Previous experience as a grill cook. - Must be resident in Kuwait and have a transferable visa and medical card.
